Thanks to you, our passionate fans, our first Technical Alpha in December was a huge success! We received loads of feedback from our players, and learnt a great deal. So we've decided to add another play session and invite 5,000 more people!

As before, we'll be sending invitations out by email tomorrow, and opening the servers this weekend. Hi everyone,

Happy Holidays, and hope you are having a great Christmas!
I wanted to jump onto this thread and give you guys a bit of into re the PC version, and testing.
Right out of the gate, I'll be open and honest; there is going to be a bit of a wait until we're ready to get the PC version into the Alpha tests.
Ted (PC Design Lead) and the engineers focusing on PC are working hard, but there is still work to do in running it through many of our internal test processes across a wide range of machines / specs and ensuring we have a stable, performing build before we then open up to the wider world to start testing. For those that have played on Xbox One, hopefully you'll see that we have a commitment to a stable, performing and bug free experience, and we want that to apply across PC as much as possible too. When we have been creating features, Ted has been ensuring they work correctly on PC, and doing custom controls as necessary (i.e. for the UI, for mouse + keyboard) so that we aren't building up 'debt' on that front, but there is still work to do to ensure we work across a wide range of specs, so that when we do get it out to you, it doesn't fall flat on its face. :-)
I've attached a photo of our 'all hands' meeting room at Rare, that we've actually taken over around the edges with a bunch of custom PCs across a wide range of specs from a min spec machine with a tiny 14 inch monitor, through to a 21:9 4K beast. As part of our processes, we deploy the game to these every day, and Ted checks that new stuff works on each machine.

So we are working hard, but there is still a way to go before we roll the PC version into the Alpha phases. Our focus leading up to Christmas was predominantly on the initial Technical Alpha test on Xbox One, but in the New Year we will be spreading our focus across our priorities of new features, reacting to feedback, and getting the PC version running smoothly across a range of hardware, ready for you guys!

Para ser un juego tan prometedor enseñan muy poca cosa. No se acerca tanto, pero empieza a tener ese aire de desconcierto y muchas promesas de No mans Sky.
