If you're getting this email, it's because you signed-up on my site to be notified of when I'll be in your area. My apologies for the short notice, but I'm in Sevilla right now shooting an advertisement for Visa, and they have given me tomorrow (Sunday) off to shoot a clip for my own video.
I am sending this to a fairly small list of people who registered in Sevilla or a nearby city. I plan to come to Spain again later this year with more notice, but I am inviting you to meet up tomorrow if you can, to dance with me in Sevilla.
In this new video, I am learning how to perform other dances. Don't worry, I'm still terrible, but I am trying my best. I'm told the traditional dance here is called La Sevillana, and I'm hoping some of you can teach it to me and we can all do it together. We will also do the simple dance from the earlier videos, and maybe one or two others that we come up with.
The crew for the Visa ad would also like to film a clip for their commercial. They can't offer any pay, but they will take care of the food and drinks when we are finished.
We will shoot for my video first, and then we'll do a few more takes for the Visa crew. They are more interested in perfection than I am, so they tend to want to do a lot of takes, but I am limiting them to only five takes so we don't all get exhausted and pass out.
If you would rather not appear in the Visa ad, you are welcome to step out.
We'll be filming for less than an hour in totel. Expect to sweat a bit.
The meeting place is the fountain outside Sevilla Cathedral on Sunday, April 10th at 4pm.
Here's a Google map of the location:

The photo attached to this email shows where to meet.
When you get to the spot, look for the guy who looks like the guy in
the dancing video. Just come on over, say hello, and ask if I am Matt.
If I'm not Matt, I will let you know. If it's a little bit after the
start time and we're not there, we may have walked to
a different area nearby to shoot. I doubt we'll need to do that, though, as the fountain looks like a pretty good spot.
Before we dance, I will need to get your legal permission to appear in
the video. I'll shout some legal stuff on camera and you can just nod
and give me a thumbs up if you're okay with it.
The film crew will also have a permission form for their ad.
I can't guarantee the clip we shoot will end up in the final
video or the Visa ad. There will be a lot of footage to choose from and some of it
will not be used.
You're welcome to bring your own camera. After the shoot, I'll be sticking
around for a good long while. I'm happy to dance with you in your own
picture/video, so don't hesitate to ask, but I do request that you wait
until we are finished shooting because I'll be very busy until then.
We're planning to put the final video up on the Internet sometime in
late 2011.
I look forward to dancing badly with you!
-Matt
